I purchased these tables mainly for their unusual size and design. I had been looking for a round or oval table 26" or less in height and 26-28" wide. This table was the closest I could come to my ideal size. I was going to paint the tables anyway to match my decor, but the tables are very pretty in the wood design. The shelf and top are real wood, but the rest is MDF; it is still a very nice looking piece. I cut off 1" from the legs to make it fit into the room better. I wish it would have been less expensive, because it was not an all wood product, and I was painting it anyway, but I'm very pleased with the table and it fit my needs1
